One day in Southern Rhone

Book It! We came to Avignon for two nights specifically to taste southern Rhône wines. This was a great way to do so. The guide was fun, informative, thoughtful and put together a great agenda starting with a small producer in Seguret. Then we spent the rest of the day tasting wines in Chateneauf du Pape. This is an all day adventure so plan accordingly. The soil is large pebbles, hard clay and limestone so wear walking shoes. I highly recommend this tour provider.

Our guide, Nicolas, was very experienced and knowledgeable and made the whole day pleasant and fun.
In summary: interesting visits to 3 very different kinds of vineyards and wine cellars, a tasty lunch, some sightseeing in the beautiful Provencal and Cote de Rhone countryside, and great learning about wine making and wines in the area.

This trip was amazing! If you are genuinely interested in the history of the area and the way they make wine this tour is a real treat. The guide was very knowledgeable and the different tastings were fantastic. The lunch was phenomenal and the location was an absolute dream. I went with my husband who doesn’t know as much about wine and he was genuinely happy to have the chance to learn. Absolute value for your money, not to mention they do not skimp on the quantity of wine during each tasting. 10/10 would absolutely recommend.
