Cannes
With its beautiful beaches, luxury yachts, fancy hotels, Cannes is the place to be for a glitzy holiday!
More famous for its Cannes Film Festival where stars left their hand-prints set in the pavement called “Chemin des Étoiles”, Cannes has many fascinating cultural attractions.
Walk along the Croisette, one of the most iconic promenades in France where you will find all the best hotels, some even have their own private beaches, and luxurious shops like the Promenade des Anglais in Nice.
Discovering the oldest area of Cannes by visiting Le Suquet, a Roman settlement above the city with its neighborhood is a real delight to the eyes with its pastel-colored buildings.
Not that far away, visit the Musée de la Castre located within a medieval castle that was once home to the monks of Lérins. Next to it, you will find Notre-Dame d’Espérance, a wonderful church built in the 14th and 15th centuries sitting at the top of the hill. Both make Cannes’ historical architecture and will present you with the most stunning view of Cannes from above.
We cannot talk about Cannes without talking about its beaches. If you want to get away from the bustling La Croisette and its beaches, you can relax at the Palm Beach or Plage du Midi, two public and quiet beaches.
As you can see, Cannes might be a sparkling side of the French Riviera, but you can also find a more simple side of it, making it a great destination for a holiday if you would like to enjoy both.
